Foreign Scientists Visiting MIT

The release of controlled technology to a foreign national (even in the U.S.) is “deemed” to be an export. Bona fide full-time employees who sign an MIT non-disclosure agreement and US permanent residents are not considered foreign nationals and are exempt from this. Foreign scientists visiting MIT are not allowed to access controlled technology.
